Josh Heupel responds to question about potentially using 2 QBs vs. Florida
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel put to rest any thoughts of him playing 2 quarterbacks in the Florida game Saturday.
According to Vols beat reporter Wes Rucker, Heupel said this when asked about the quarterback situation:
#Vols coach Josh Heupel: Right now we’re “not leaning toward” playing two quarterbacks Saturday night at Florida.

Heupel also said via 247 Sports that starting quarterback Joe Milton has practiced this week but didn’t say if he will be starting.
“Don’t have an update on the quarterback status right now,” Heupel said. “Joe’s gotten some work during the course of the week. We’ll find out more tomorrow (Friday) with him, but some of the other guys that maybe you didn’t see last week, anticipate most of those guys being able to play, though, when we get down to Gainesville.”
Milton injured himself a few weeks ago in the loss versus Pittsburgh, but unlike Florida who until last week played two quarterbacks, you won’t see that happening with the Vols. Either Milton will start or his backup Hendon Hooker.
