After being dismissed from the Tennessee football team, Kaidon Salter has started the process of looking for a new home.

GoVols247 is reporting that Salter entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Saturday morning. It’s no surprise that Salter has started looking for transfer opportunities after being booted from Josh Heupel’s team.

Out of Cedar Hill (Texas), Salter was rated 4-stars and the No. 18 quarterback in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. He signed with Tennessee over 25 other offers, including Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Salter was one of four players suspended from the team during spring practice for a marijuana incident. Salter made headlines for marijuana possession again this week.

The police report stated:

Mr. Salter was stopped for a violation of light law (no tail lights) and a tinted plate cover over the vehicle`s registration. Mr. Salter subsequently admitted (post Miranda) to having marijuana (approx 4 grams) and telling the passenger to throw it out when officers stopped the vehicle.”

We’ll see if Salter gets another chance to play college football.
