Kirk Herbstreit has revealed his list of teams that impressed him the most in Week 4.

The analyst always reveals the players, coaches, and teams that impressed him the most after each week of college football action. This week, Josh Heupel and Tennessee’s entire defensive line made appearances on Herbstreit’s list. Well, Tennessee as a whole team made the list of most impressive teams, coming in at the No. 2 spot.

Tennessee went to Oklahoma and won 25-15. Beating a ranked team on the road is always an accomplishment, but even more so when it’s done in a dominating fashion like Tennessee just did.

The Vols only won by 10, but a conservative game plan in the 2nd half prevented the game from being a blowout. The Vols’ defense held Oklahoma to 222 total yards and only allowed 36 of those yards on the ground. The Oklahoma offensive line allowed 3 sacks and 11 tackles for loss.

The win gave the Vols a quality conference win as they improved to 4-0 on the season.

The No. 1 most impressive team for Herbstreit, however, was the Michigan Wolverines.

The Wolverines got a hard-fought home win against conference foe USC. The Wolverines dominated on the ground, racking up just under 300 rushing yards.

At No. 3, Herbstreit gave the nod to Utah for knocking off Oklahoma State. The Utes won 22-19 on the road and look to be the favorites in the Big 12. The No. 4 spot went to Illinois after the team knocked off Nebraska in Lincoln.

The No. 5 spot went to James Madison for putting up 70 points on North Carolina. BYU earned the No. 6 spot after surprisingly blowing out Kansas State.

Finally, Navy received the No. 7 spot for knocking off Memphis.
