Known nationwide as the “Third Saturday in October,” Alabama and Tennessee have met 101 times dating back to 1901, with the Crimson Tide holding a 56-38-8 edge in the rivalry.
Losers of 12 straight, the Volunteers last beat Alabama in 2006, 16-13.
Having scored at least 45 points in each of the last three meetings, the Tide won, 58-21, in Jeremy Pruitt’s debut season a year ago.
Set to be broadcast on ESPN, Saturday’s action from Bryant-Denny Stadium will kick at 9:00PM ET.
