Coming off a weekend visit to Knoxville, Tennessee has emerged as the leader for Louisiana cornerback Eddie Smith. He recently admitted that immediately after his official visit to Rocky Top ended.

While Tennessee left quite the impression on the Pelican State native, it appears Jeremy Pruitt and his staff did the same with his mother — which is often the most important person to please in the recruiting process.

A former TCU commit, Smith still has offer options to consider before National Signing Day, as he has official visits on the books to Starkville and Tuscaloosa coming up over the next two weeks. In fact, Mississippi State cornerbacks coach Terrell Buckley even made an in-home visit with the Smith family Monday.

Smith even tweeted out a picture of the visit:

However, a few hours later his mom tweeted out a photo of her own that should please Tennessee fans:

Game, set and match for Tennessee? There’s still plenty of time between now and National Signing Day and it would be unwise to assume Alabama is ever out of a recruiting battle but, for the time being, it sure does look like the Vols have an advantage in this recruitment.

Especially if mom is on board with Vol Nation.
