The Jeremy Pruitt era is underway for the Tennessee Volunteers, and it was reported Tuesday that he will not be bringing back Rock Gullickson as strength and conditioning coach.

Gullickson was brought in by Butch Jones in 2017, but it looks like Pruitt is intent on going a different direction with the program. Reporter Austin Price shared the news on Twitter.

Gullickson arrived in Knoxville after serving as the head of strength and conditioning for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams in the NFL. He also had stints with the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints in the NFL after stops at Louisville, Texas, and Rutgers at the collegiate level.

It was not initially shared what Pruitt’s plans are for the position, but it looks like Gullickson will leave after just one year with the program.
