Report: Tennessee to host big-time 5-star target this weekend during Kentucky game
The Tennessee Volunteers are major players when it comes to 5-star 2019 ATH Quavaris Crouch, and they’ll get a chance to impress him this weekend.
According to a report from Rivals, Crouch will be in attendance this weekend when the Vols host Kentucky.
Per Jesse Simonton of Rivals, Crouch may have some company, too, so this is shaping up to be a huge weekend for coach Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols:
NEWS: Tennessee is slated to host 5-star ATH Quavaris Crouch on an official visit this weekend, per @RivalsFriedman.
Crouch won’t be the only big time blue-chipper on campus this weekend either. Stay tuned.

According to the 247Sports composite, Crouch is the No. 2 athlete in the class of 2019 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of North Carolina.
Many 247 Crystal Ball projections have Crouch going to Clemson, but Pruitt and the Vols will hope to change that this weekend.
I dunno why we haven’t pursued him. Seems like a Clemson lock at this point.
He’s been seen rocking Tennessee shorts in at least two of his workout videos. Certainly fits the mold Pruitt wants at RB and has torn it up in high school. Playing time won’t be an issue, obviously.
I wouldn’t read too much into what shorts he’s wearing. Vols have a shot but we are probably in 3rd place right now. A big fan turnout, a rowdy stadium full and a win could do wonders though. We need a domino to fall like wright or crouch and get this class going with morris and the 4 stars we have.
I still can’t believe we just let Morris go like that.
You didn’t. Pruitt took him.
Huh.
I think it’s less that Pruitt took him and more than Georgia was interested in others.
Whatever gets you through the night.
Beating UT by a combined 79-12 the past two years gets me through the night. Nah, I’m just kidding. Seriously though, from the recruiting news I heard, UGA prioritized others ahead of Morris. Yes, he’s a great player and ultimately UGA would be happy to have him. However, there are others, for reasons important to UGA, that they would have before Morris. Shocker, right?
I think they made the mistake of leaving off the pursuit before he shot up the rankings to his current top-10 status. Frustrating.
So jawjaw let morris the #2 OT and #16 player in the country go ?
Lmao , i guess they let Hasellwood #1 receiver go to
Get a grip
No, they offered Morris but never really ardently pursued him, I’m assuming because at the time he was maybe a top 150 recruit, and when his ranking started to rise, Tennessee had their foot in the door.
Seems like someone must be telling the kids at Grayson “anywhere but UGA”.
Except for D-lo.
Georgia is STACKED at OL right now and can choose to be selective with the size and physical attributes of recruits. Also, Morris wasn’t that highly rated until recently. And the UGA staff, like every staff, doesn’t rely on ranking from recruiting services to determine their interest in recruits. They evaluate independently according to the present needs of their roster. Really hard concepts, huh?
Morris is 6’5.5″ and 311 lbs. Trust me, Pittman would take him in a heartbeat.
Georgia could use some more high-quality tackles.
Kirby, your statement is demonstrably false seeing that UGA didn’t prioritize him and decided to focus on other OL recruits instead. That’s not my opinion but a repeatedly stated fact. Also, re-read the first sentence of my prior comment.
I am saying that they stopped prioritizing him before his ranking shot up, and I believe that they would take him now, especially since more of the far reaching O-line recruits save Webb have gone elsewhere, like Devontae Dobbs.
They will probably cross the field and commit to UK.
Big stupid strikes again.
