Santiago Vescovi, Tennessee guard, reportedly makes decision on future in college basketball
Santiago Vescovi is running it back for one final year in Knoxville.
According to Mike Wilson of Knox News, Vescovi will return to Tennessee for a fifth and final season after weighing his options this offseason. This news comes on the same day Tennessee added former USC Upstate guard Jordan Gainey as a transfer commit.
Vescovi is one of the best pure shooters in Tennessee basketball history and is an off the ball wizard, as well as a defensive pest. He carried Tennessee’s offense at times this past season, with his absence being painfully noticeable when he was on the bench.

Vescovi’s accolade list is lengthy. He became the 2nd Vol in history to make 100 3-pointers in a single season in 2023, joining only Chris Lofton. He’s also a 2-time All-SEC selection and an SEC All-Tournament selection in 2022.
This will make a lot of folks in Knoxville very happy.
