Tennessee baseball just added a middle-of-the-order bat for the 2024 season.
The Vols picked up a commitment from Wofford transfer Ryan Galanie on Sunday. He was the So-Con Player of the Year in 2023 and figures to be a big part of Tennessee’s plans for next season.
Galanie’s commitment has been reported by multiple outlets.

Last season, Galanie hit .383 with 17 home runs and 66 RBI. He also showed off an elite plate approach with 40 walks compared to just 39 strikeouts last season. He can play first base, third base or left field.
Galanie is Tennessee’s 4th transfer addition of the offseason so far. He joins pitcher Nate Snead, pitcher AJ Causey and catcher Cannon Peebles.
Tennessee is expected to have big expectations again in 2024. The Vols have made it to Omaha in 2 of the last 3 seasons, but haven’t reached the championship series since 1951.
Galanie is eligible for the 2023 MLB Draft. He has 1 year of collegiate eligibility remaining.
