Tennessee basketball: Highly sought-after grad transfer reportedly on UT campus for visit
The Kerry Blackshear Jr. Sweepstakes is heating up.
Last week, it was reported that Tennessee coach Rick Barnes made landing Blackshear priority No. 1 on Rocky Top. The Volunteers appear to have made the important step of getting the former Virginia Tech forward on campus. FOX Sports college basketball insider Evan Daniels reports that Blackshear made it to Knoxville.
UT isn’t the only SEC program recruiting Blackshear. Arkansas, Florida and Kentucky are also considered in the mix at this time, but things can change quickly in recruiting. Blackshear averaged 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, starting all 35 games for the Hokies last season.
