Report: Tennessee basketball's new 'No. 1 priority' is landing a coveted graduate transfer
It seems likely that transferring Virginia Tech F Kerry Blackshear Jr. will end up in the SEC. Now, the question is where he will play the 2019-20 season.
Blackshear recently visited Arkansas and Florida, and Kentucky is also heavily in the mix to land the talented all-around graduate transfer.
This weekend, though, it was reported that a new SEC team had jumped in the mix. Per Jake Weingarten, Tennessee is making a big push to land the former Hokie:
More Kerry Blackshear Jr. news: Tennessee’s number one priority is landing the highly-coveted Virginia Tech transfer, a source told @Stockrisers. The staff hopes to have him on campus at some point next week.
He’s currently finishing up Arkansas OV after visiting UF last week.

Blackshear averaged 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, starting all 35 games for the Hokies last season.
Many teams will be watching Blackshear’s decision. He’s one of the most-coveted graduate transfers on the market, and he can certainly swing a team’s season.
