Things are changing at a roller-coaster pace in the world of college football the past 3 days, and on Sunday night, players started to seriously express their desire to play this fall.
On Monday, Tennessee chancellor Donde Plowman took to Twitter to share photos of a meeting she had with Volunteer players.
As you can see below, she said she asked at the end of the discussion if the team wants to play, and they overwhelmingly responded with yes:
This afternoon, I met with our football team and staff to have an open conversation about playing football this fall. At the end of our discussion, I asked if they wanted to play football and the answer was a resounding YES. pic.twitter.com/cg9AFw4J86

So far, it seems the SEC is holding firm with its plan to play the 2020 season. The Vols appear to be all-in on that plan.
Games are scheduled to start on Sept. 26. We’ll see if that continues to be the case, or if things change more moving forward.
