After being a key part of the Tennessee secondary in 2014, 2015 and 2016, DB Todd Kelly Jr. has only been able to appear in seven games the past two years.

He was limited with injury both years, and only managed to record 23 tackles in 2017 and 2018 combined.

As he went through preparations to try to become an NFL player, though, he found out his knee is too damaged. He revealed via Twitter on Wednesday that he would have to give up the game he loves:

In his Tennessee career, Kelly had eight interceptions and 169 total tackles. He appeared in a total of 42 games.

Sadly, he won’t be able to give the NFL a shot, but hopefully he finds success in whatever he does next.
