The Vols on the field weren’t the only ones dealing with injuries coming out of the Alabama game. One fan celebrating the historic win also spent time with a doctor soon after the celebration.

This Tennessee fan from Chattanooga suffered a torn ACL in his right knee following the Chase McGrath kick that propelled the Vols to a last-second win over Alabama.

The fan replied to Tennessee author Mark Nagi, who put out a request on social media:

“If you’ve got a story to tell about your Tennessee/Alabama game experience, DM me. At the game, at a bar, etc. the best stories will get included in the Decade of Dysfunction sequel, certain to be the Caddyshack 2 of books.”

The fan even showed an image of his knee from a medical facility. Once word spread of the injury, other Tennessee fans joined in to gather support to crowd source funding for his medical bills.
