Tennessee fans rocked Rocky Top: Incredible footage shows how wild atmosphere was in Florida win
Tennessee fans shook the press box during Saturday’s 23-17 win over Florida. GoVols247’s Wes Rucker said that only happens “in the loudest moments in that stadium.” Nights like Saturday highlight why Neyland Stadium is such a vaunted college venue.
Cole Cubelic shared a clip from the Vols’ all-22 tape on social media Sunday evening. Tennessee fans were so loud that the endzone camera before a Florida snap was shaking, and shaking to the point that the players in view were barely identifiable.

Florida scored with 29 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 17-all. Some wanted UF coach Billy Napier to try for 2 and go for the win in regulation, but he played for overtime and Tennessee, after briefly trying to get something going on its final fourth-quarter possession, obliged.
Florida got the ball first in OT and only went backward. The Gators settled for a 47-yard field goal that missed wide right. Dylan Sampson punched in his third rushing score of the day on the ensuing possession to walk it off for Tennessee.
After the game, UT coach Josh Heupel praised the crowd for the energy it brought.
“Fans, awesome tonight,” he said. “Huge part of the game. Appreciate them throughout the course of it.”
Tennessee has issues to work out, but the positive is that next week’s matchup with No. 7 Alabama is in Neyland Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. The Vols are a 2.5-point dog in the matchup, but Heupel is 15-10 against the spread at home during his Tennessee tenure.
