Be honest Tennessee fans, had you given up hope that Tennessee would survive Athens with a win after surrendering Jacob Eason’s 47-yard bomb with 12 seconds left in the game?

Even with the Bulldogs kicking off and leaving the Vols in good field position, thanks to two Georgia penalties, the odds seemed long Tennessee would convert a Hail Mary pass with only four seconds on the clock.

While the odds may have been stacked against Tennessee, the receiver that made the play never had any doubt. When asked about the play during the postgame, Jauan Jennings had this to say:

Jennings wasn’t the only one keeping the faith, as his head coach had some strong comments after the game.

“I can honestly tell you,” Jones said, “I 100 percent firmly believed we were going to catch the football and score. That’s the belief I have in this football team and these kids and what these kids have been there through five weeks.”

As for where the catch ranks in terms of his all-time favorites, Jennings said last weekend’s go-ahead score against Florida was his No. 1, with the Hail Mary catch coming in behind it:

Who knows, with a tough road trip to College Station against an undefeated Texas A&M looming large, Jennings may have a chance to top both catches next weekend.
