The Melbourne, Florida, prospect is rated as the country’s No. 48 RB and the state of Florida’s No. 116 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He racked up 19 total touchdowns and more than 1,900 all-purpose yards as a junior, leading his team in rushing (1,100 yards), receiving (619 yards) and return yardage.
Both Florida and Florida State were among the schools that offered Corbin, and the Vols were able to pull him out of the state of Florida, which is an impressive feat.
Corbin pulled the trigger for the Vols after he visited Knoxville last weekend, and he became the Vols’ fifth commitment for the class of 2018.
Here are Corbin’s junior highlights:
***3-star bUTch strikes gold…oh wait, another 3 – S T A R
Who gives a d**m about stars, I just want guys that can play and this kid evidently put up solid numbers because he knows how to play. Anyway, he is 4 star on ESPN and Rivals, 16th ranked RB on ESPN but even if he is 3 stars on some sites and say he gets a 4th star added later on because of senior season production or camps, does that mean suddenly he is an even better player or just more known? Same guy rather he hasn’t been analyzed and is 1-2 stars or if he got 1900 all-purpose yards his junior season and you decide to slap a 3 or 4 star rating on him.
At this stage, I think who is recruiting the player is more important that stars. If both FSU and UF offered, then this is a good get.
Exactly.
