Tennessee made waves in recruiting this week when it landed a commitment from a former Alabama signee from Memphis, Tennessee.

Jordan Davis signed with Alabama in December, but has since played at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He re-committed to Alabama in October, but decommitted again earlier this month. He will be a member of the 2020 signing class. Along with the Vols and Crimson Tide, he also had an offer from Mississippi State.

Through 10 games this season, Davis has 45 tackles, 5.5 of which were for a loss including 2.5 sacks.

The 6-foot-5, 249-pound Davis is expected to graduate in December 2019, and he plans to enroll at Tennessee in January 2020. He expects to have three years to play his final two years of eligibility for the Vols.

He is the third commit for Tennessee in the 2020 class, which is ranked No. 9 in the SEC and No. 31 in the country.
