Tennessee is losing its starting kicker Brent Cimaglia to the NCAA transfer portal, but it gained a transfer commitment from a kicker Tuesday night.

USC Trojans transfer Chase McGrath committed to the Volunteers via social media. The former USC specialist finished 32-of-42 on field goal attempts during his career. McGrath becomes the second USC transfer to Tennessee in as many years, joining returner and wide receiver Velus Jones Jr.

McGrath is from Santa Ana, California and began his USC career as a walk-on before being put on scholarship his sophomore season. During his junior season in 2019, McGrath connected on 14-of-17 field goals, including a career-long 52-yarder against Stanford.

However, he lost his starting job in 2020 and entered the NCAA transfer portal in December.
