Tennessee has been looking to add a second receiver to its 2019 recruiting class for some time and that paid off on Wednesday with the commitment and signing of Georgia native, Jerrod Means.

The pledge and signing of the 6-foot-2, 212-pound Lovejoy product was quite the surprise as the Vols were after several pass catchers in recent weeks. The Vols have already signed Ramel Keyton in the class but desperately needed to add some speed from another receiver. Means brings 4.4 speed to Rocky Top, which should be put to use immediately by the coaching staff.

According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Means rates as a three-star prospect and the No. 217 receiver in the nation. He chose Tennessee over scholarship offers from North Carolina, UConn, Rutgers and Ball State.
