Tennessee players react to Jalen Hurd's departure
Jalen Hurd’s decision to leave Tennessee in the middle of the season won’t have any lingering effects on the Volunteers.
At least that’s what his former teammates are saying.
Tennessee players spoke with the media Tuesday for the first time since Hurd’s transfer was made official the day before. The junior running back’s surprising and still-unexplained move has drawn loads of criticism from former players and fans, but the Vols have stayed mostly silent about it.
Defensive tackle Derek Barnett, defensive back Todd Kelly Jr. and offensive lineman Brett Kendrick said the team is moving on from the situation after having a team meeting Sunday night to discuss it.
"We had a team meeting and we settled everything." Barnett
