The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for the Tennessee Volunteers, as they have some serious questions to answer.

RB John Kelly has become a star through five games, but the rest of the offense has struggled as the Vols have gotten off to a 3-2 start.

Coming off an embarrassing 41-0 home beatdown at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs, Kelly said on Tuesday that the Vols need to “evaluate everything” during the bye week:

First and foremost is the quarterback situation, where Quinten Dormady has started every game, but many are calling for Jarrett Guarantano to get a shot.

Whether embattled coach Butch Jones makes a switch when the Vols return to action against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Oct. 14 remains to be seen, but something needs to happen to spark the Tennessee offense.

Coming off a week in which he got only 20 touches, the Vols need to figure out how to feed the ball to Kelly more often if they’re going to turn things around.
