Tennessee is set to host UConn in its homecoming game this week, and the Vols dropped their uniform combinations on Thursday ahead of the matchup.

The Vols are rocking their classic home uniforms, but with a twist.

They will wear white helmets, orange jerseys and white pants, with the addition of blue accessories. The blue accents are a tribute to legendary Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt.

Summitt was Tennessee’s women’s basketball coach from 1974 to 2012. In her time at Tennessee, she won 8 national championships. When she retired in 2012, she was the winningest head coach in women’s basketball history.

Tennessee is paying tribute to Summitt and her fight with Alzheimer’s disease, which she died from in 2016. Along with the uniform accents, Tennessee will also be selling commemorative cups at Neyland Stadium with a portion of the proceeds going towards Alzheimer’s research.

Tennessee is looking for an easy win after taking down Kentucky on the road last week. A dominant win over the Huskies would give the Vols plenty of momentum ahead of a pair of tough games against Missouri and Georgia.
