Just weeks ago, the idea that Tennessee would be in a bowl game was almost laughable. However the Vols orchestrated a turnaround that included four straight wins, propelling them to six wins with one week to spare in the regular season.

Although a lot of underclassmen made an impact, it was the senior group that Jeremy Pruitt credits for keeping the rest of the team bought in after a 1-4 start.

Tennessee’s official Twitter account released a video produced by VFL Films honoring the players playing their final game in Neyland Stadium on Saturday.

Seniors such as Marquez Callaway, Jauan Jennings, Daniel Bituli, Darrell Taylor and more have had a direct impact on Tennessee’s success this season. Despite putting together some productive careers that could transition to the NFL, almost none of the players in the senior class have ever beaten Vanderbilt, as Derek Mason has compiled three straight wins over the Vols.

With the exception of the fifth-year players such as Jennings, some of the Vols running through the “T” for the final time will be determined to pick up their first ever win over the Commodores.

After a recent stretch of four straight wins, nothing would be sweeter to those players than to finally reclaim a rivalry that Tennessee has historically dominated, and get to 7-5 in the process.
