Tim Tebow is on board with Tennessee making a quarterback change this week against Alabama.

Jarrett Guarantano’s miserable game during last week’s loss to Kentucky has the former Heisman Trophy winner thinking change in Knoxville.

“You’ve got to find a quarterback because that’s the position that makes everybody around the rest of the field, offense, defense, special teams – better or worse,” Tebow said Saturday morning. “Right now, from the second to the fourth quarter last week, they were demoralized. That Tennessee team couldn’t have played worse because of how the quarterback position handled that game. You can find another guy that can make everybody play better and give yourself a shot in the big game. Right now, in the big game, they haven’t had a shot. That’s why they have to make a change.”

Tennessee pulled Guarantano last week following his second pick-six against the Wildcats. On the very next series, backup JT Shrout threw an INT, too. Guarantano then came back into the game.

Freshman Harrison Bailey, who looks like the future, played late in the game last week.

Guarantano has completed 63.1 percent of his passes with 4 touchdowns and 3 INTs through 4 games.
