Tennessee moved to 3-0 with a 28-19 win over Ohio, but the Volunteers weren’t impressive by any stretch of the imagination.

Perhaps caught in a bit of a trap game, having just come off the Battle at Bristol and with Florida looming on the schedule next week, UT didn’t take control of the Bobcats until late. There were mistakes in all three phases.

Most alarming, several Vols players were unable to finish the game due to injury. Among them were linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and cornerback Cameron Sutton, a couple of All-SEC defenders — Sutton is also an ace return man. If they’re not available for the Gators, that’s trouble.

Quarterback Joshua Dobbs, as tends to be the case, was up and down most of the day throwing the ball. Aside from receiver Josh Malone, he’s not getting a lot of help from his regular targets in the passing game.
