It’s not easy to be a student-athlete, especially with all the demands on your time that athletics at a big-time university put on you.
So, when an athlete manages to earn his or her degree, it’s a moment to celebrate, and on Saturday, Tennessee QB Jarrett Guarantano did just that.
As you can see below, Guarantano accepts his degree and also speaks with the Tennessee Football Twitter account about what it means to him:
"I dedicated myself to academics and football at the same time. I think along the way I prepared myself for life."@BroadwayJay2's journey did not end, but took the next step today. ? #VFL pic.twitter.com/O9jreT1WEz

Guarantano is still the Vols’ quarterback for the 2019 season, and it should be a good one for the redshirt junior.
His performance will go a long way toward determining if the Vols make a bowl game or not, but for now, he should be proud of his academic accomplishment.
