WATCH: Tennessee DB Emmanuel Moseley consoles Georgia Tech QB TaQuon Marshall after 2OT loss
When the Tennessee Volunteers stuffed Georgia Tech’s double-overtime two-point conversion attempt to seal a dramatic 42-41 victory, the celebration was on.
However, in the excitement that followed, senior DB Emmanuel Moseley took some time out to help a fellow competitor.
As you can see around the 35-second mark in the video below, Moseley shows great sportsmanship by helping an exhausted and dejected TaQuon Marshall — Georgia Tech’s quarterback — to his feet:

Moseley appeared to have some encouraging words for the junior quarterback as well after Marshall’s incredible 249-yard, five-touchdown effort against the Vols.
It’s moments like these that make sports so great. Even after an emotion, hard-fought win, Moseley took the time to console a competitor after a valiant effort.
Kudos to Moseley for providing such a great moment only moments after an incredible victory.
That was really classy at the end of the day its just a game.
Thanks, AuburnRX. We play in a classy conference.
Of course we do I’m a grad student. I love my conference I make sure classy moves get recognized!
That kid played a heck of a ballgame and has nothing to be ashamed of.
He played his heart out for GT. That is why I love college football.
We are lucky to escape with a win, he played lights out and with passion and left everything on the field. Very inspiring performance, I’m glad TN escaped with a win.
Escaped is right. GT is a better team.
Not according to the scoreboard. Go milk a cow.
If they’re better than TN they’re definitely better than State.
Your team played Charleston Southern, I wouldn’t put much weight into that for you to be talking right now. Week 1 only matters in the W-L column, and we won. We will see how our offense does in two weeks, and defense on Saturday.
So to everyone that says GT is a better team even though Tenn won. Well is Texas AM the better team, even though UCLA won?
Nice to see that sportsmanship and consideration. Too rare in this day and age.
