Tennessee coach Butch Jones was on “Vol Calls” to discuss this week’s game against Kentucky in Lexington. Tennessee has lost three of its last four games, including a hard-fought 19-14 loss at rival Alabama last week. Here are the highlights from the radio show:

Jones was asked if the Vols would wear orange to go with the black that the Wildcats will be wearing since it’ll be Halloween. Jones said SEC rules make it clear that they have to wear white.

Jones, who was the head coach at Cincinnati from 2010 to 2012, will be facing a quarterback that he tried to recruit while he was with the Bearcats, who went with his hometown over Cincy.

Speaking of Cincinnati, Jones also talked about some inconvenience the team is having right now due to the Breeders’ Cup horse racing event going on in Keeneland, Ky., which is forcing the team to stay about 80 miles away in Cincinnati.

Tennessee sophomore receiver Josh Smith joined Jones on the show. His wideout has confidence that Tennessee will take care of business on the road this week.

Jones talked about the improvement of Smith, who has caught a touchdown in each of the last two weeks after not recording one over his first five games of the season.

Jones also heaped a lot of praise on the Vols defensive line, which he believed stepped up to the challenge against Alabama’s defensive line last Saturday.
