Tennessee coach Butch Jones talked football and a little baseball Monday during his weekly press conference. Here are the highlights:
Before Jones discussed his team’s big win the always classy coach gave a shoutout to the World Series champion Kansas City Royals, who won with a bit of help from a former Tennessee standout.
JONES: Before we get started, I would like to say Congrats to Luke Hochevar & the Kansas City Royals, World Series Champs.

Hochevar was an All-American pitcher at Tennessee. The Royals picked him No. 1 overall in the 2006 draft, and he won the clinching Game 5 Sunday night with two shutout innings in relief.
In the ALCS against Toronto, Hochevar also picked up a win in a game that R.A. Dickey, another former Tennessee All-American pitcher, lost.
The head coach soon returned the focus to football, specifically his Volunteers’ 52-21 whipping of Kentucky, their largest conference victory this season.
JONES: I thought outer players had a great business-like approach. Now it's what we can do with it.

Butch Jones: "Kentucky is a big strike offense, and if you take away the one big play they had, we did a good job of limiting them."
— Troy Provost-Heron (@Troy_Provost) November 2, 2015
It was a complete team effort last week as the Volunteers saw big plays from their passing, rushing, special teams, and defense.
JONES: Evan Berry has a great drive to be the best. Evan will be the 1st to tell you it's the other 10 guys on the field.

Tennessee scored 28 points in the third quarter alone, including a kick return and a punt return touchdown, totaling 184 return yards to start the second half.
They're playing with great effort. They're playing with great pride and you can see that. – Butch Jones on S. Carolina post coaching change

Tennessee’s remaining four opponents are a combined 11-21, setting up the possibility for a season-ending five-game winning streak.
JONES: Micah Abernathy is one of those freshmen who continues to get better and better. He is playing at a higher speed.

"I can’t wait until Jashon Robertson is healthy again, because the sky is the limit for him." – Butch Jones

Robertson has missed the team’s past two games with an undisclosed reason and remains questionable for Saturday’s game against South Carolina.
Without or without their star offensive guard, the Volunteers still stand with a very good chance of finishing second in the SEC East despite starting the season 2-3.
