With some tough wins, and losses, already in 2015 , a Tennessee football team that many said would make some noise is finally starting to after a 2-3 start.
To start his press conference on Monday, coach Butch Jones thanked fans for continuing to show their support at Neyland, despite the criticism the stadium has been receiving recently.
"I think it's very very important to say thanks to our loyal fan base for their support." – Butch Jones

Butch Jones: Tennessee "well aware" of Neyland Stadium's field condition. "Everything we can, we're doing." https://t.co/oSPnfZ17IS

Though he’s not listed on the injury report, the coach indicated that QB Joshua Dobbs wasn’t 100 percent heading into the game despite going 20 for 34 for 255 yards and two touchdowns.
JONES: Dobbs was banged up a little bit (vs SC) but he gutted through it.

Dobbs has gone back-to-back games with over 200 passing yards with two touchdowns for the first time this season.
The diagnosis on LB Curt Maggitt is less promising: He is likely out for the season with a hip injury.
JONES: We will know more on Curt Maggitt today and will let you know more on Wed.

JONES: I didn't think that we had the overall focus for 60 min that we had in previous weeks
— Tennessee Football (@Vol_Football) November 9, 2015
JONES: You have to be focused for 60 minutes & you have to be a mature football team to do that.

You’d expect your coach to be a little more pumped after a 27-24 win over an always competitive conference opponent, but Jones was anything but as a late fumble by the Gamecocks is the only reason Tennessee sits over .500.

JONES: The biggest determining factor in wins and losses is turnovers. We need to take away the ball defensively.

Tennessee won despite turning the ball over three times to South Carolina’s one, obviously a big one. Hopefully the Volunteers are more careful protecting the ball to finish out November as they currently sit tied for eighth in the SEC with a turnover margin of just +1 on the season.
