Arch Manning faster than Xavier Worthy? Worthy says it’s possible: ‘Arch is fast’
Arch Manning hype may be reaching new levels as the offseason continues.
Former Texas receiver Xavier Worthy was interviewed by Arch’s father, Cooper Manning, at at a Super Bowl event on Monday. Cooper brought up Worthy’s record-breaking 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine last year and then suggested that Arch could beat him in a 10-yard dash.
Worthy, somewhat surprisingly, agreed.
“Arch probably can get me in a 10, Arch is fast,” Worthy said. “Then it’s over.”
Perhaps that answer from Worthy was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but Manning did prove to have some wheels during the 2024 season at Texas. He carried the bal 25 times for 108 yards and 4 touchdowns this past fall. He was a frequent wrinkle in Texas’s offense when the Longhorns got into the red zone.
Worthy is one of the fastest players in the NFL and will finish up an excellent rookie season by playing for the Chiefs in the Super Bowl this coming weekend. He caught 59 passes for 638 yards and 6 touchdowns during his rookie campaign. He was also used out of the backfield at times and rushed for 104 yards and 3 touchdowns as well.
