Cook’s playing career took an interesting path through college football. Originally a 5-star prospect out of DeSoto (TX) High School, Cook signed withe the Longhorns in the 2023 recruiting class to play under Steve Sarkisian.
Unfortunately, Cook’s production did not live up to the hype. He had 136 yards as a true freshman and had 137 yards and 2 touchdowns in 6 games with the Longhorns during the 2024 campaign before hitting the transfer portal.

Cook then committed to Washington, but that journey did not last long. The wide receiver and the Huskies parted ways just a few days into his time on campus in Seattle after a reported in-person meeting with head coach Jedd Fisch.
It will be interesting to see if Cook is able to find his way back into college football in the future.
