Former Vanderbilt wideout Trent Sherfield catches Trey Lance's first NFL TD pass
Former Vanderbilt wide receiver Trent Sherfield has a new home for the 2021 season with the San Francisco 49ers, and that union is off to a great start.
With 5:41 to play in the first quarter of the 49ers’ game with Detroit, the 6-1, 219-pounder caught the first of what is expected to be many touchdown passes from San Francisco rookie QB and the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Trey Lance:
Ya think Trent Sherfield likes his new job?
The undrafted wideout out of Vanderbilt went from Arizona to San Francisco in the offseason, and in Week 1 he's on the receiving end of Trey Lance's first-career pass. (And first-career touchdown pass.) pic.twitter.com/R1zZWXjYnM
