Jerry Stackhouse announces Vanderbilt freshman guard has torn ACL
It wasn’t a good sign that Tyrin Lawrence was on crutches Saturday. After Vanderbilt’s loss to Tennessee, Commodores coach shared that Lawrence will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL.
It’s a tough blow to Stack’s squad. On the 247Sports Composite, Lawrence’s Composite score of 0.9081 was the highest among Vanderbilt’s 2020 non-transfer enrollees.
Listed at 6-4, 190, the freshman guard is a native of Monticello, Georgia and played for Morgan County. He chose Vanderbilt over Ole Miss, Cal and others.
Vanderbilt basketball is currently scheduled to return to the hardwood on Wednesday night against Texas A&M.
