Vanderbilt cornerback Allan George is ready to take his game to the next level.

The 6-1, 195-pounder announced via Twitter on Sunday morning that he would be declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.

In making his decision public, George thanked his family, his wife, his teammates, and the Vanderbilt fans for his 5 years in Nashville.

George could have returned for a Super Senior season as part of the NCAA’s COVID-19 eligibility rule but he will decline that option.

This season, George appeared in 11 games for the Commodores, recording 24 tackles and 6 pass defenses.

A year ago, he recorded 45 tackles, 2.5 tackles for losses, and 2 pass breakups, while also being names to the SEC Honor Roll.

Vanderbilt lost its regular season finale at Tennessee on Saturday and finished 2-10 on the season.
