Clark Lea’s Vanderbilt coaching staff has some extra celebrating to do on Independence Day. The Commodores picked up a pair of commitments on Sunday.
One pledge came from in-state ATH Kenzy Paul. A 3-star prospect from Chattanooga, Paul committed to Vanderbilt over 17 other offers, including Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Out of McCallie School, Paul is rated the No. 31 recruit in Tennessee, No. 70 ATH and No. 870 prospect overall in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite.
I want to thank god for all the blessings, my family for all the continuous support, all of my coaches and thanks to all my supporters ! Lets get it⚓️❤️🔥 @VandyFootball @bartonsimmons @Coach_Lea @Coach_Minter @CoachLMorgan @McCallieSports pic.twitter.com/M5IEZGv14N

The second commitment came from Florida linebacker Bryce Cowan. A standout at Amos P. Godby High School in Tallahassee, Florida, Cowan has 10 scholarship. VU is the only Power 5 offer showing on Cowan’s 247Sports recruiting profile. Cowan does not have a Composite rating but is rated 3-stars on 247Sports.
