Ven-Allen Lubin, who entered the transfer portal from Notre Dame about a month ago, has found a new home in the SEC.

Lubin announced on social media that he committed to Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward chose the Commodores over the Miami Hurricanes, and he’s the second second transfer addition for Jerry Stackhouse this offseason.

He’s a former top-100 recruit, who played in 28 games with 7 starts for the Fighting Irish last season. A 6-foot-8 forward from Orlando, Florida, Lubin averaged 6.2 points and 4.4 rebounds a game while he averaged 17.5 minutes a night. He shot 58% from the field.

Lubin was a 4-star recruit in the 2022 class, ranked as the No. 74 overall prospect and the No. 13 recruit from the state of Florida.

At Vanderbilt, Lubin will join a lineup that includes the likes of Colin Smith at forward and Lee Dort at center. Like Dort, who is a native of Haiti, Lubin is of Haitian descent.
