College football coach getting called out for hitting player in facemask

Published:
Washington and Oregon are in a tight battle on Saturday night in Seattle. At halftime, the No. 4 Ducks only lead the unranked Huskies 10-9.
Tensions are high in the rivalry game, though, and that was evident after a sideline incident between players.
As you can see below, Washington coach Jimmy Lake shoved Ruperake Fuavai in the helmet after he got into it with an Oregon player:

Lake just hit his player in the face and the pushed him. Seems like a guy you’d want to play for. #GoDucks pic.twitter.com/zImIxNDpRQ

Obviously, there are always mixed reactions to videos like this, with some people saying putting your hands on a player is uncalled for and others saying it’s just good, hard coaching.
Here’s some of the reaction on social media:

Not a good look by Jimmy Lake, particularly at an academic prowess institution. https://t.co/hhdNSkE7Tw

We’ll see if Lake is asked about the play after the game.
