Alabama gets commitment from walk-on long snapper
Alabama has another option at long snapper for next season as Scott Meyer committed to the school as a walk-on.
The Roswell, Ga., product out of Blessed Trinity Catholic announced the decision via Twitter on Monday.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder will compete with Cole Mazza, who has started 39 out of a possible 41 starts in his first three seasons in Tuscaloosa, missing just two games last season against Ole Miss and Louisiana-Monroe. Mazza is also perfect on all snapping opportunities over that span.
As for Meyer, he chose Alabama over Air Force and Navy.
I'm blessed and thankful to say that I have committed to play football at the University of Alabama🐘🏈 #RollTide pic.twitter.com/Z0G24uJZAf
