The SEC is all about speed, and elite receiver DD Bowie certainly has enough of it.

Bowie is the state of Mississippi’s top overall player for 2017, and he committed to Alabama Monday at camp.

“Nick Saban asked me if I really wanted to commit, and I said, ‘Yes sir,'” Bowie told AL.com. “He told me to make sure I did well at school and that I gave my best on the field today.

“I just feel comfortable here.”

Bowie was thought to be a lean to Ole Miss, but Alabama made quite the impression on him. Every program in the SEC is hard after Bowie, as he holds offers from Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss, among others.

The 6-1, 170-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 10 wide receiver in the ’17 class. He joins California native and five-star running back Najee Harris as Alabama’s only commitments for the class of 2017.
