Report: Alabama to hire new OL coach, shift responsibilities for Mario Cristobal
Former UCF offensive coordinator Brent Key is expected to join the Alabama coaching staff as the Crimson Tide’s new offensive line coach, according to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Thayer Evans.
It is a position that former FIU head coach Mario Cristobal has held for the last three seasons.
According to Evans’ Tweet, Nick Saban plans to keep Cristobal on staff, but will be reassigning his duties to tight ends and tackles.

Key spent a decade on the UCF coaching staff, beginning with his time as a graduate assistant back in 2005. He the Knights’ offensive line coach from 2009-14 before working his way up to offensive coordinator last season.
