Alabama wants one of the biggest defensive ends there is in the 2016 recruiting cycle.

The Crimson Tide offered four-star defensive end Connor Murphy from Arizona on Christmas Eve. Standing at 6-foot-7 and 250 pounds, Murphy is the tallest prospect among the top 100 weakside defensive ends in the class as rated by 247 Sports.

Murphy announced the offer on Twitter.

Alabama also offered one of the top cornerbacks in the class, Kristian Fulton, on Thursday.

Murphy is rated as the No. 16 weakside defensive end and has reported 10 offers. Arizona State, Oregon, Michigan and Stanford are the frontrunners to land him. The Ducks are the only ones that Murphy has officially visited thus far, and that was on Nov. 20.

Newly hired defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and defensive line coach Bo Davis are his lead recruiters.
