Not all Mondays are bad.

Late last night, Alabama coach Nick Saban picked up his 10th verbal commitment for the recruiting class of 2017 when 4-star offensive tackle Elliot Baker pledged to the Crimson Tide.

“Oh man, it feels incredible,” Baker told 247Sports of his commitment. “I’m just really pleased with my decision. I’m happy that I can focus on school and the upcoming season (now).”

Baker, who stands at 6-foot-7, 295 pounds, is the No. 2-ranked JUCO player in his class and despite not having any offers during his high school recruitment, he received 18 after spending last season at City College of San Francisco.

“Just meeting with coach (Nick) Saban,” Baker said of when he knew he wanted to commit. “He told me I could sleep on it, but I told him I’m sure. I’m all in. He was really happy. He was excited about it.

“He just explained to me the process they have at Alabama and everything that kind of goes into making their program what it is. There’s so much stuff.”

Alabama’s 2017 class now ranks No. 3 nationally and No. 1 in the SEC.
