Using ESPN’s FPI (Football Power Index) as a guide, No. 3 Alabama (4-0, 1-0) has a 52.9 percent chance to win at No. 11 Ole Miss (4-0, 1-0) on Saturday.

CAN ALABAMA GET TO BO WALLACE YET AGAIN?

Saturday is one of the biggest games in the University of Mississippi’s recent history. Not since the days of Eli Manning have the Rebels been so highly touted.

With ESPN’s College Game Day visiting Oxford for the first time, the program is at a new high as the state of Mississippi enters the national spotlight this weekend. Alabama rides into town as a touchdown favorite, although the Football Power Index has them at just better than 50-50 to win.

How the Crimson Tide fares could come down to how well they contain Ole Miss’ senior quarterback, Bo Wallace. In Wallace’s first two outings against Alabama, his struggles have been very real. He’s a combined 32-for-64 for 282 yards, with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

Wallace has been one of the better quarterbacks in the SEC this season, completing 71 percent of his passes and racking up more than 1,200 yards through four games, but he’ll need to keep fight his demons against the Tide. Alabama will undoubtedly do everything in their power to rattle Wallce, who has already thrown 6 INT on the season and has a history of making bad decisions with the ball.

If there was ever a week for the Crimson Tide pass rush to finally get going, this is it. They barely touched Jeff Driskel two weeks ago (although that didn’t stop the Bama defense from harassing him into an abysmal afternoon), and the Tide have just a single sack over their last two games.

With the one-dimensionality of Ole Miss’ offense, Alabama should be able to tee off on Wallace. If they let him get into a rhythm, this game becomes a lot more difficult.
