Video: Alabama's Blake Barnett works out with ESPN QB guru
Alabama has a full-blown quarterback competition to replace former starter Jake Coker, and each member of the four-man race is doing what he can to gain an edge in post-spring workouts.
For former five-star recruit Blake Barnett, that entailed a workout with ESPN QB guru George Whitfield in San Diego on Thursday.
Barnett’s father posted some videos of the workout, which appears to have been focused on throwing in the pocket while under duress, to his Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.

Whitfield is known for his creative techniques to simulate a collapsing pocket, so the content of these videos is no surprise.
And Barnett looked pretty sharp in the clips.
Barnett is competing with Cooper Bateman, David Cornwell and Jalen Hurts for the starting role in Lane Kiffin’s offense this fall.
