With the University of Alabama’s football season in the books, fans can start looking forward to the spring and 2015 season knowing that the Crimson Tide roster still features a ton of talent.

With Nick Saban on the verge of signing yet another No. 1 recruiting class, and offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin on the record about how he’s looking forward to developing another starting quarterback, here’s a look at the offensive positions, with each player’s signing class, number of stars — 1-5, 5 being the best — and overall ranking by 247Sports as a recruit (* means came in at another position):

QUARTERBACKS
Departing:
Blake Sims, 2010, 4, 275*
Status: For the second straight year Alabama will have a new starting quarterback and the obvious favorite is Jacob Coker, who will be going into his final year of eligibility. Nevertheless the Crimson Tide will almost certainly have an open competition and look for the other challengers to put up a pretty tough fight. Alabama is also bringing in 5-star recruit Blake Barnett.
Players on roster:
Jacob Coker, 2011, 3, 532 (FSU)
David Cornwell, 2014, 4, 79
Cooper Bateman, 2013, 4, 80
Alec Morris, 2012, 3, 569

RUNNING BACKS
Departing:
Jalston Fowler, 2010, 4, 220
Could declare for the NFL Draft: T.J. Yeldon, 2012, 5, 28
Status: If Yeldon goes to the NFL as many expect, Derrick Henry will inherit the starting job, but there’s still a lot of depth assuming everyone returns. Despite coming off a horrific leg fracture, Kenyan Drake hopes to be back in the spring. Bo Scarbrough will be sort of the wild card after practicing with the team for a week during bowl prep in Tuscaloosa. Alabama doesn’t have another fullback anywhere near as good the outgoing Fowler, which will make the development of the tight ends crucial.
Players on roster:
Derrick Henry, 2013, 5, 12
Altee Tenpenny, 2013, 4, 53
Tyren Jones, 2013, 4, 66
Kenyan Drake, 2012, 4, 130
Bo Scarbrough, 2015, 5, 16

WIDE RECEIVERS
Departing: DeAndrew White, 2010, 4, 107; Christion Jones, 2011, 3, 365*
Could declare for the NFL Draft: Amari Cooper, 2012, 4, 46
Status: The three departing starters combined for 183 receptions for 2,495 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, mostly by Cooper. Of the remaining players Chris Black had the most receptions with 15 for 188 yards, but Cam Sims had the only touchdown. ArDarius Stewart appeared to be coming on before sustained strained knee ligaments late in the season. Regardless of who starts everyone should be in the mix next season including incoming 5-star talent Calvin Ridley.
Players on roster:
Robert Foster, 2013, 5, 23
Chris Black, 2012, 4, 45
Cameron Sims, 2014, 4, 84
ArDarius Stewart, 2013, 4, 86
Derek Kief, 2014, 4, 221
Raheem Falkins, 2013, 3, 361

TIGHT ENDS
Departing:
Brian Vogler, 2010, 4, 228
Status: O.J. Howard’s 17 receptions for 260 yards weren’t quite what a lot of people expected, but replacing Vogler’s blocking and ability to help seal the edge will be the top priority. Kurt Freitag’s status remains uncertain after his fall drug arrest, but his name was not on the Crimson Tide’s postseason roster.
Players on roster:
O.J. Howard, 2013, 5, 19
Brandon Greene, 2012, 4, 125*
Malcolm Faciane, 2011, 4, 190
Ty Flournoy-Smith, 2014, 3, 103 (JC)
Dakota Ball, 2012, 3 432*

OFFENISVE LINE
Departing: Arie Kouandjio, 2010, 4, 173; Leon Brown, 2013, 4, 19 (JC); Austin Shepherd, 2010, 3, 623
Status: Center Ryan Kelly and left tackle Cam Robinson are poised to anchor the line as Alabama looks to replace both guards and the right tackle. The early favorites are the players who saw the most game action this past season, Grant Hill, Alphonse Taylor and Bradley Bozeman, along with Dominick Jackson. The Crimson Tide has four high-profile offensive line commitments for the signing Class of 2015, but no tackles yet.
Players on roster:
Ryan Kelly, 2011, 4, 237
Cam Robinson, 2014, 5, 4
Grant Hill, 2013, 4, 61
Ross Pierschbacher, 2014, 4, 74
Dominick Jackson, 2014, 4, 2 (JC)
JC Hassenauer, 2014, 4, 172
Alphonse Taylor, 2012, 4, 266
Joshua Casher, 2014, 4, 280
Isaac Luatua, 2011, 3, 391
Bradley Bozeman, 2013, 3, 471
