Four-star Ohio State commit Torrance Gibson, one of the nation’s top dual-threat quarterbacks for the 2015 class, is still considering Auburn after taking an official visit over the weekend to speak with Gus Malzahn and the Tigers.

Gibson committed to the Buckeyes in November, but decided to take visits to a few other programs — including LSU — with his mother’s blessing. The U.S. Army All-American was one of several high-profile prospects on campus during Auburn’s most important recruiting weekend to date.

During his stay, Gibson took in Saturday’s basketball win over South Carolina and talked how he would fit into the Tigers’ scheme with Malzahn and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee. Gibson will travel to Baton Rouge this weekend.

Gibson told 247Sports’ Justin Hokanson he was concerned about Ohio State’s current quarterback situation for next season, a crowded race featuring senior Braxton Miller, J.T. Barrett and recent College Football Playoff star Cardale Jones. Gibson believes he has a chance to play early with the Tigers.

“Coach Malzahn told me I’m his guy and he wants me to play quarterback and that I’d get a fair opportunity to play quarterback,” Gibson said. “That’s what he told me and I believe it,” Gibson said. “What he did with Cam Newton and Nick Marshall in one or two, imagine what he could do with me in three. We were just having a great time talking. Feeling the vibe, it was a great feeling.”

After returning home to Miami after his visit, Gibson didn’t agree with reports on his possible late-January flip:
