Former Auburn running back Jovon Robinson is reportedly transferring to Division II Valdosta State and will be eligible for his senior season, according to GridironNow.com.

Robinson, who was expected to be Auburn’s primary back in 2016, was dismissed from the program earlier this month. As a junior, he recorded a team-best 639 yards and three touchdowns on 117 attempts.

Valdosta State now has six FBS transfers joining its roster in 2016. The Blazers finished with a 9-3 record and were eliminated by West Georgia in the second round of the Division II playoffs in 2015.

Robinson fills the Valdosta State’s need at running back after the team lost its top five rushers from last season. The former Auburn back was reportedly dismissed for repeatedly missing classes and meetings, which he denied in an interview with AL.com, but would not state why he was kicked off the team.
