Ahead of Florida’s big in-state game with Florida State, it appears as if it’ll be without one of its best offensive linemen.

Starting LG Martez Ivey has been battling a leg injury, and doesn’t appear as if he’ll be able to play versus the Seminoles in Tallahassee this Saturday.

Head coach Jim McElwain addressed Ivey’s injury on Wednesday:

“Probably the one’s that most concerning right now would be Martez Ivey, who hasn’t been able to go for two days. He’s going to try to get out there today. But I’d probably say doubtful right now, just knowing what it is.”

Kavaris Harkless and Tyler Jordan would likely fill-in for Ivey. Harkless got some time last week versus LSU, and Jordan will be back available after battling an ankle injury.

“Harkless obviously, who’s been playing, will jump in there at left guard,” said McElwain. “Jordan being able to kind of swing to all three of the inside spots is something that we’ve been practicing just to kind of see where that is because it’s pretty good being able to kind of spell he and Fred Johnson a little bit at right guard.”
